Singer Does Queen of Soul Impression in White Plains Wednesday


Singer Ada Dyer performed songs from Aretha Franklin, the “Queen of Soul,’ during a concert at Renaissance Plaza in White Plains Wednesday.

The concert is part of the White Plains Recreation and Parks Departments “Dancing Under the Stars” series. The series will feature a new performer every at 7 p.m. Wednesday on the plaza through August.

Dyer, who was born in Chicago and currently lives in New York City, has sung and travelled with performers such as Norman Connors, Chaka Khan, Roberta Flack, Roberta Flack, Boz Scaggs and Lenny Kravitz. In 1988, she released the album “Meant to Be " on Motown Records.
