What's Open and Closed in White Plains on the Fourth of July

Today is a time to mark this country's independence. But things do come up, whether it's the need to make quick supermarket run

Today is the Fourth of July.  Most federal, state and local government offices are closed. There will be no mail delivery. Many businesses are open.

  • The White Plains Public Library, along with other local libraries, are closed.
  • White Plains will not pickup recyclables today.
  • Most banks will be closed today with the exception of TD Bank, which will stay open until 1 p.m.
  • State courts: closed
  • New York Stock Exchange (NYSE): closed
  • U.S. Post Offices: closed
  • State government offices: closed
  • Local town offices: closed
  • Supermarkets are open
  • Liquor stores: open
