President Obama & Assemblyman Abinanti Call for Infrastructure Funding

Assemblyman Tom Abinanti welcomed President Obama to Tarrytown where the President spoke on the importance of infrastructure and touted the ongoing process of replacing the Tappan Zee Bridge. The bridge is essential to the interstate system which is crucial to passengers, commerce and the health and security of the country.

“I am pleased the President has come to the Tappan Zee Bridge to highlight the importance of federal funding for infrastructure projects,” said Abinanti, who represents the Westchester side of the bridge. “Federal funding significantly influences state, county and local infrastructure. Without it these projects would diminish or disappear.”

“Reactionary forces in Congress should not be able to cause the deterioration of our infrastructure,” said Abinanti. “Improved infrastructure is the bridge to a better future for everyone. We need this, and without it, we falter.”
