This spring has been particularly bad for allergies. I’ve been sneezing, coughing and rushing to CVS for allergy medication at any chance I get. Unfortunately, I’m not the only one in my household suffering from this awful burden most commonly known as seasonal allergies.
A lot of pet owners don’t realize that when their pets scratch, itch, sneeze, bite and cough they may actually be suffering from seasonal allergies…just like us. Additional symptoms you may notice in your pet include hot spots, ear infections and foul smelling fur.
What pet owners also don’t realize is that a change in diet and the addition of certain supplements can help boost your pet’s immune system so that they can get rid of those pesky allergies and be happier and more playful during the beautiful spring months.
I’ve found that simply adjusting your pet’s diet is a far more effective and less expensive solution to conquering seasonal allergies than running to the vet.
Ask yourself this question: “Why do I do a spring cleaning every year?” My answer would be to get rid of clutter, dust balls and cobwebs that have formed in my home over the winter months. If you do a spring cleaning don’t you feel better after you finish the job? Like you’ve created a clean slate for the months ahead?
I think the same goes for your pet. It’s an unfortunate fact that pets gain more weight during the winter months due to inactivity. This lethargy and extra weight
definitely doesn’t help your pet’s vitality and it certainly doesn’t help their health. This is why I suggest a “spring cleaning” for your pet. I’ve tried it with my Ozzie and have seen a tremendous change in his disposition!
Allergy season is the perfect time to get your pet to a healthier state of well-being. Implementing a basic ‘seasonal cleanse’ will rebalance and strengthen pets’ immune systems when they are being challenged most by nature. Providing a high quality diet, in addition to several all-natural supplements will go a long way toward keeping pets healthier year round.
I personally use Viand’s Allergy Trio which addresses: itching, paw licking, dirty/smelly ears, doggie odor, hot spots,
and excessive shedding coupled with Viand Canine Regular Bite, a high quality, all-natural pet food. I’ve found that by boosting the quality of my dog’s food and supplementing it with great vitamins has transformed my him during even the harshest seasonal allergy months.
In most cases, I find that a spring cleaning combined with higher quality foods and Allergy Trio will drastically improve pets’ health and get them out of that allergy fog.
