Gilda's Club Hosts Fiesta Night; Turkish Cultural Center Hosts MLK Jr. Discussion

MONDAY: Westchester’s Ridge Hill, located at One Ridge Hill Blvd. in Yonkers, is giving $15 gift cards to shoppers who spend $50 or more today through Friday and  Jan. 27 through 31. Spend $50 at Ridge Hill before 2pm and receive a $15 restaurant gift card at Guest Services with same day receipts (in the WestMed Building, 73 Market Street). Participating restaurants include: Brio Tuscan Grille, Havana Central, Cheesecake Factory, Lefteris Gyro, Elevation Burger, Yard House, Smoothie King, Subway, Bonefish Grill (opens at 4PM) and Texas de Brazil (opens at 5PM). Or if you want to skip right to sweet treats, head to Frannie’s Goodie Shop. 

TUESDAY: The White Plains Library is hosting its Teen Book Review Club Tuesday. Teens are invited to review new books before they are published and discuss ways to share your reviews with teens and publishers. Pizza and refreshments will be served. The club starts at 5 p.m. The library is located at 100 Martine Ave. in White Plains.

WEDNESDAY: SCORE Westchester is hosting a workshop on business law & taxes relations Wednesday at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The workshop, which is being led by Mitch Glickwill, will go over topics like:

Which business structure to use and why

  • Cost of forming corp., LLC, etc
  • Necessity for written partnership or shareholders agreement
  • Tax deductibility of home office expenses

THURSDAY: The Turkish Cultural Center will be hosting a Community Conversation on Martin Luther King on Thursday at 6 p.m. for residents of Westchester County. The topic of the discussion will be, Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service. The event will be held at the center in Elmsford. The program is sponsored by New York Council for the Humanities. The center is located at 133 East Main St. in Elmsford.

THURSDAY: Gilda’s Club of Westchester is hosting Family Fiesta night Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Join Gilda’s Club, located at 80 Maple Ave. in White Plains, for a fun fiesta celebration and light supper! Family Time Events are monthly social events for families.
