Trinity Lutheran Church Hosts Concert Monday; Christmas Eve Service at First Baptist

MONDAY: The White Plains Library is hosting its Teen Holiday party today at 3 p.m. Teens are invited to watch a holiday movie, eat pizza and make bake-less cookies. The library is located at 100 Martine Ave.

MONDAY: Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 430 North St. in White Plains, is hosting its  annual Christmas concert tonight at 7:30 p.m. More than 25 artists will perform old and new favorites.  There will be something for everyone.

TUESDAY: The First Baptist Church of White Plains, located at 456 North St.,  is hosting a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service 7 p.m. There will be readings by adult church members and youth, and carols featuring musical selections from composer Benjamin Britten’s “Ceremony of Carols.” Music will be provided by organist John Wolfe and The Festival Choir. In honor of Britten’s centenary, the Festival Choir will be joined by special guest singers from the White Plains-based choral ensemble Cantemus: Yamilet Cortes-Gil (soprano), Felecia Rivera (alto), Jeff Diones (tenor), and Audley Jackson (bass).

THURSDAY: The White Plains Library is hosting a viewing of the film “Polar Express” for its Trove at the Movies program at 3 p.m. On Christmas Eve, a doubting boy boards a magical train that's headed to the North Pole and Santa Claus's

home in this film based on the classic story by Chris Van Allsburg.
