Winter Storm Warning Issued in Westchester for Thursday, Friday

Wind chill values are expected to reach as low -3 Thursday night and -7 Friday morning. Commuters can look forward to near blizzard condition Thursday evening.

The forecast for the rest of the week can be summed up in one word: snow.

A winter storm warning will be in effect for southern Westchester County from 6 p.m. Thursday to 1 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Near blizzard conditions are also forecast for the overnight Thursday heading into Friday morning.

Snow is expected to hit the area, starting with less than an inch Wednesday night. More of the white stuff is expected to hit the area Thursday, with four to eight inches expected to be dumped on the area at night. The wind chill value is expected to drop to -3  Thursday night.
