DAE to Host Minecraft Tournament Saturday; Modern Dance Troupe to Perform at White Plains Library Sunday

Here are some of the things going on this weekend in and around White Plains.

SATURDAY: The Digital Arts Experience is hosting a Minecraft Tournament Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for children 8 to 12 and 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for teens 13 to 16. The entry fee is $10. Register here.

SATURDAY: Robin and Linda Williams, a husband and wife folk music team, are scheduled to perform Saturday at the Walkabout Clearwater Coffeehouse, which is located inside the Memorial United Methodist Church in White Plains. The  duo hails from Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley and began their musical association in Nashville, Tenn. in 1971. The couple has gained widespread national prominence on Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion," and appeared in the movie based on the radio show. Tickets are $20 advance online; $25 at the door and $15 at the door with a student I.D. Visit www.WalkaboutClearwater.org for details.  Doors open at 6:30 pm. SUNDAY: Danceworks, the modern dance troupe from Westchester Community College, will teach the basics of modern dance inside the White Plains Library Sunday at 3 p.m. Call Rosemary Rasmusse at (914) 422-1476 for more information.
