It is fitting that President Barack Obama will deliver remarks today on the same steps as Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  There should be no doubt that that the job is not yet completed. We have not achieved true equality for all. People of every race, creed and color must realize that there are problems that cannot continue to be ignored.   The truth must be told.

The sacrifices made by many cannot be rolled back, the strides made cannot be lost, the struggle must continue.

For all that has been accomplished, there is much that needs to be done. I commit to remain vigilant, and continue the pursuit of Dr. King’s dream until everyone is judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.”
