WCA Launches "Business Intel" Series with Healthcare Reform 2.0

BREAKFAST OFFERS WESTCHESTER BUSINESSES INFORMATION, OPTIONS AND STRATEGIES FOR HEALTH INSURANCE/AFFORDABLE CARE ACT

 “Business Intel” to Provide Westchester Business Community with Hot Topics, Trends, and tips from leaders in healthcare, finance, real estate, technology, and more

White Plains, New York (March 26, 2014)………..The Westchester County Association today announced the launch of a new event series designed to give the Westchester business community the chance to learn from some of the region’s most knowledgeable, influential, and strategic thinkers. Through an array of events for members and the business community at-large, Business Intel will feature hot topics, trends, and tips (“business intel”) from leaders in healthcare, finance, real estate, technology, and more. First up is “Healthcare Reform 2.0,” a breakfast for employers and employees on April 3 featuring Kevin Smith, Northeast Exchange Solutions Leader with Mercer, offering strategies and guidance on evolving healthcare insurance models.

This first Business Intel event is scheduled for Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. at the Tappan Hill Mansion, 81 Highland Avenue in Tarrytown. (Directions for GPS should be entered as 200 Gunpowder Lane, Tarrytown.) Essential topics covered include: Why businesses need to make decisions now about health insurance coverage for their employees—even with recent delays in ACA implementation; the array of solutions available under private exchanges; how being complacent about the ACA could be harmful for your business; results on how public exchanges have fared since the launch of the ACA.

Ample time for networking and Q&A is planned. Registration for the event is $50 for WCA members and $70 for non-members and is available at www.westchester.org.
