Westchester County Offers Free Flu Shots This Week and Next. Register in advance at http://www.health.ny.gov/Go2Clinic

County Executive Robert P. Astorino announced today that the county health department will offer free flu shots to residents ages 9 and older this week and next week as follows:

  • At the White Plains District Office, 134 Court St., Thursday, Jan. 31, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 1, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • At the Yonkers District Office, 20 S. Broadway, Thursday, Feb. 7, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Residents are strongly encouraged to register in advance at http://www.health.ny.gov/Go2Clinic. If you don't have internet access, call (914) 995-7425 weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Walk-ins also will be welcome.

These clinics are in addition to the flu shot clinic on Jan. 24 at the Westchester County Center where more than 450 people were vaccinated. Among them were many who were getting a flu shot for the first time.

The flu shot is safe and provides protection against the three strains of flu that are circulating this season. Residents are advised to get a flu shot each year.
