Children's imaginations run wild while getting their first taste of education on Mohawk Country Day School's 40-acre…More farm. Students may enroll in nursery, mini kindergarten, kindergarten, pre-first grade and first grade classes. In addition to a rich curriculum, the school's little ones enjoy three colorful playgrounds, a fun mini golf course, bicycle center, apple and grape picking, maple syrup making and a variety of farm animals.  </p> <p>The school prides itself on its' daily music classes, and introductions to French, Spanish and Japanese. Mohawk Country Day School turns into Mohawk Day Camp in the summer time with onsite pool and water slides.  The school was originally founded by teachers in the 1940's and was taken over by the Barbara and Steve Schainman in the 1980s. The couple —who met and fell in love while working at Mohawk— serve as school/camp directors along with their son, Ken Schainman.</p>
