Steve Sheridan serves as the Sports Information Director at Manhattanville College, and in this role is the primary media contact for 14 of 20 Valiant teams: women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track, men's and women's golf, men's hockey, men's basketball, softball, and women's lacrosse.

As Director, Sheridan is responsible for maintaining the Manhattanville Athletics website, GoValiants.com; writing and distributing press releases; serving as official scorer for many of the Valiants' home games; producing team media guides, game programs and other publications; and promoting the school’s 21 varsity teams to both local and national media outlets. He also serves as the school’s primary broadcaster, calling the action both home and away for many Valiant contests online at GoValiants.com and GoValiants.TV.

Sheridan comes to Manhattanville from Division II Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, N.H., where he served as Assistant Sports Information Director for one year. During his time in Rindge, Sheridan served as the primary contact for nine of the school’s 17 varsity sports and worked closely with every sport at the school. Prior to that, he began his sports information career at Division I Northeastern University in Boston, working primarily with the hockey and field hockey programs during the 2006-07 school year.

Sheridan is a 2006 graduate of Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y. He spent all four years working for The Colgate Maroon-News, the oldest college weekly newspaper in the country, and served as Editor-in-Chief of the student-run newspaper during his senior year of 2005-06. Sheridan also spent four years working with the school’s student-run television station, CUTV, and worked with the Colgate Athletic Communications Department for three years broadcasting soccer, basketball and softball games over the Internet.

A native of Westford, Mass., Sheridan currently resides in Bayside, N.Y., with his wife, Rachel, and his son, Jack.
